We are very excited to present this original collection of Bunny Yeager's photographs for sale. Many of these images have never been seen before!
We acquired the photographs directly from Bunny Yeager and she has signed each one of the photographs (although a few are stamped). Some have her hand-written notations and ink credit stamps. Seldom will you see a photographer's original proofs offered for sale.
A "contact print" or "proof sheet" photograph is made when film negatives are laid over photographic paper and exposed in the darkroom. The photographer or magazine's art director then uses this contact sheet to select images for enlargement or publication. Bunny's contact sheets had ten to twelve 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch photographs on an 8x10 sheet. Almost all of Bunny's photographs of Bettie Page were taken with a Rollieflex camera which uses this square format.
The collection is a mixture of single 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 contact prints, partial and full contact sheets, 8x10 prints and large format images. The majority of photographs were printed in the 1950's and 1960's and some were printed in the 1980's for a book project that Bunny planned to do with Eric Kroll. Please read the details with each photograph for size and dating - "vintage" means printed int he 1950's 0r 1960's. Image number is at the end of the details in parenthesis - e.g., (0125).
